Beyond beaming screens and noises, tough places and conversations stay neatly tucked away from the present moment, and I can lie asleep for a little while.
If I'm being transparent, embracing a technological trance is the simplest way to relieve my soul.
Beyond beaming screens and noises, tough places and conversations stay neatly tucked away from the present moment, and I can lie asleep for a little while.
For now, I can dream of the world as it appears to be: straightforward,
passionate, playful, and sometimes even praiseworthy.
For now, I can entertain this parade of perfection –a place so concerned with prestige and
power, leaving humility for the ones who never had the liberty of falling asleep.
And although the trance is a beautiful place to wander and fantasize about what my
potential may be,
Ideally, I would leave this trance for a speck of silence and simplicity,
I’d hope to step outside my bubble and meet myself where I have always been
waiting and sulking in my shadows, wondering how long it will take till my clock begins.
How many years will pass until I find this tangible world is all I have to celebrate?
How many conversations must I have till I decide to reincarnate?
Eventually, as I lay my head against my last pillow,
the sun will set, and reality must set in.
What's left of me will be the ideas beyond what I was once made to believe.
What’s left is the simplicity of my existence in a world that's fallen so deeply asleep.
